Go!Team

Wore this to see The Go! Team last Thursday. The gig was rubbish, not really their fault though, it was doors at 9, the band started at 12 and the sound was awful. We left after 3 songs and went to a silent disco instead, heaps more fun.

 Cardigan from Penneys - €5
Scarf from Penneys - €5
Minnie Mouse T-Shirt from Penneys - €9
Bag from Kembali - €12 (It's now broken sadly, I have such bad luck with bags)
Topshop Shorts - €30
Black Milk Leggings - €50
Converse - €20

You may notice I've dyed my hair blue. I love it and the colour is lasting really well. Might do a post soon about hair dying, and how to make the colour come out bright and last a long time.

Banana & Chocolate muffins anyone?

Using this recipe I made muffins yesterday and they're so good that I haven't been able to stop eating them since. I made 18 and I think I'm around halfway through the batch already... eek! I swirled a little homemade caramel into the tops of the muffins before I baked them, it's so yummy!

In other news my Topshop order arrived today and I'm so not impressed. The lovely jumper I ordered wont go over my head. The neck is so tiny that even with my tiny head there's no chance of gettting it on. I assume it's faulty so it's going back. I'm returning the shorts too, they make my bum look funny. But I ordered some Black Milk Galaxy leggings instead (!!!). I've wanted them for ages and I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull them off but I decided to just go for it. Although if I keep eating these muffins I'll never fit into them!
I've bought some new lipsticks and cleansing products in the last week too, so expect a review or two in the next few days.

i want the world to stop

Couple of FOTD pics, and a bit of shopping!

I've found a temporary job in a cafe, covering for someone who's on holidays. It's handy, I'm getting paid and getting cafe experience to put on my CV. So I decided to treat myself to some new clothes in anticipation of my next paycheque! It's been so long since I've bought clothes that aren't secondhand/on sale/from Penneys so it's quite exciting. So I bought this jumper, which is super comfy and these shorts which are surprisingly flattering and comfortable. I've always shied away from anything leather (or fake leather) other than shoes and jackets just because leather pants, shorts and skirts seem a little tricky to pull off if you've not got a great figure. I guess it's because these are quite baggy that I like them. I tried them on in the shop (wait for the quite awful changing room picture) and then ordered them online as they were €30 cheaper that way.

I bought a new ring and dress in Penneys too that were total bargains. I'll post pictures tomorrow if I get time.

So I saw this jacket today

And I'm kinda in love with it. I'm not a big fan of the classic style denim jacket, it just reminds me of being a kid- I used to wear them a lot when I was younger. But this one is different, it's got more of a casual style and I love the wool detail on the collar.

It's £65 on the Topshop website which means it will probably be around €100 here :( I'll just have to see if I can save up for it before it sells out and considering I've barely got any hours at work this week and next week it doesn't seem to likely.

The weather has totally changed here in the last week, it's gone from being sunny, dry and warm to being cloudy, wet and a bit chilly. The change in weather has gotten me a bit excited about Autumn clothes. I've never been too into dressing for Summer and I get sick of it quickly.

im not calling you a liar

Grr still no camera access!

Let me see, what news do I have?
I cut my hair. No one noticed.
Oh oh, remember the Topshop Sailor Cardigan I blogged about back in April? Well I finally got my hands on it, for only €18 too :D
I bought a pair of red patent shoes from Penneys. They're amazing.

My interview for the fashion course is coming up next week and I'm trying to figure out what to wear for it.

You can probably expect a post with my outfit choices soon and I'll try to get those Fyrinnae swatches up too.

Excitement!

I just saw this post over on Style Bubble and I think I'm in love with some of those clothes.

I need a job!

Window shopping online :D

It's the best because I don't have a credit card so I can't actually spend any money. If I want to buy anything I have to go hound my mum or sister for their cards.

That being said I may need to track them down soon, look at these beauties!

These can be bought here for €9.60.
As you lot have probably gathered, I love tights. I don't think I've ever owned polka dotted tights before, and I can think of so many outfits these would work with.

Can be bought here for €7.20.
These tights are so cute and girly, I'd love to pair them with a biker jacket or something studded to soften the toughness of the leather and studs.

Here for €12.
I usually hate footless tights, but I think I need these in my life.

All of the above photos are taken from ASOS.com

I wasn't too impressed with the latest Kate Moss collection for Topshop, but there were two items which I really liked.

This Daisy Print Tea Dress, £60, is adorable and would look great with white plimsoles for the summer. I love the collar and the nipped-in waist.

I didn't think much of this Sailor Cardigan when I saw it on the hanger, but once I tried it on I fell in love. It fits like a dream and is just overall perfection in the shape of a cardigan. I love cardigans and this is possibly my favourite since my cream Topshop one I bought two years ago. (Which I just happen to be wearing today, an outfit post will follow)
Oh Topshop, why must you tease me with beautiful cardigans while I'm so unemployed?

Outside of the Kate Moss collection there are lots of other covetable clothes in Topshop right now, I'll run you through my pick of them.

There are Super Long Leggings by Boutique. I'm quite tall (5'9'') and I find it hard to find leggings long enough. I already have Topshop's extra long leggings, but they're just no long enough. These look perfect, look at the rutched effect at the ankles!

I've wanted a Reko dress ever since I first saw them on Lady Luck Rules OK a few years ago. I've never gotten around to buying one, but these two are gorgeous.

Available here for £40.

Available here for £40

I actually saw the blue Reko dress in Topshop a few days ago and said to my friend "wow that dress is lovely, but it looks like it's a Reko dress". I checked the tag but it said nothing about Reko. It was only when I was 'shopping' online that I realised I was right!

I'm not usually a jumper fan, I wear the in the morning when I get out of bed, but I tend not to look at them as fashionable items. But for some reason these jumpers from Illustrated People really appeal to me 1 and 2. I particularly like the heart on the second one, zoom in and look at the detail!

This £20 t-shirt is gorgeous! I'm very picky about t-shirts but this one seems to meet all of my requirements.
Love love love this yellow dress!
It's only £28 too, bargain! And it's got pockets!! I love dresses with pockets soooo much. This is the perfect summer dress and if I ever manage to find a job I feel that it shall be my dress of summer '09.

I'm loving this spotty ballerina-esque dress too, perfect for nights out.

You can't see the zips very well in the photos, unfortunately, but I'm intrigued as to how they'd look. The top is a great shape though so hopefully they'll get it in stock in Topshop in Galway so I can take a closer look.

I'm loving how this cardigan drapes. It looks amazing.

These hippy-ish shorts are so summery and pretty, I love them!
1 and 2. I'd wear them with these embroidered flats, these bangles (they had nicer ones a few weeks ago, but they're gone!), a flowy floral top and long curly hair. Bring on the summer!
