Wore this to see The Go! Team last Thursday. The gig was rubbish, not really their fault though, it was doors at 9, the band started at 12 and the sound was awful. We left after 3 songs and went to a silent disco instead, heaps more fun.

30 Day Song Challenge Day 2: Your Least Favourite Song

There's not many songs I actually hate, even the most mindless pop can be fun to dance to. But this twat makes me want to tear my ears off everytime he's on the radio. Everything about him irritates me!! I'm sure he has worse songs that this one, but I went with this as my least favourite because it's always played, there's no escaping him

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 1 - Your Favourite Song

I started this on Facebook, I may as well post it over here too. 

I've never been able to pick a favourite song, or a favourite band. I guess I change my mind too often. This song has been one of my favourites for quite a while now though and every time I hear it I want to dance, preferably on the beach in the sunshine. 

This week...

I've seen this type of post on lots of blogs, it's basically an overview of what I'm doing this week. I'm going to give it a go, hopefully it will keep me posting regularly and give me a bit of insight into what I wear too often. 

Music: Nine Inch Nails; The new Streets album- Computers and Blues; new White Lies album - Ritual; The Distillers

Watching: New series of Skins, I don't like it so far. I've also been watching Pokemon a lot, I haven't watched it since I was a kid but I'm weirdly really enjoying it. 

Clothes: Printed t-shirts, Junk Food does my favourites; American Apparel hoodies (most comfortable things in the world); Nike 6.0's; Big woolly jumpers with Doc Martens and cute socks with ribbons on. 

Makeup: I've rediscovered my love for MAC's Electric Eel and been wearing that non stop; UD Heavy Metal glitter liners; Urban Decay Deluxe palette; MAC Peachykeen blush, I think it's replacing Hipness as my favourite

Buying: I bought this Pokemon related t-shirt from Qwertee; Kick Ass DVD & Comic; Special Effects dye and toner.

Wanting: Electro Leggings from Black Milk; Grey and Purple Nikes; Polka Dot Dr Martens; Basically everything from Shiro; Sonic Colors for the DS.

FOTD- Kind Of.

Lately I only really wear nice makeup when I'm going out, and usually I'm in such a rush to get out the door (I'm awful for telling people I'll be there in 20 minutes when I'm only getting out of the shower) that I don't have time to take photos. 

I was out one night last week though, at a really good club night (which will hopefully become a regular thing, will post details up here if it does) and I thought my makeup came out quite nicely. Unfortunately the only pictures I have were taken in the club, but I've cropped everyone out of them and they look ok. 

I'm not entirely certain what products I used, but I'll try to figure it out.

Oh and I got my lip pierced. It's a vertical labret and I got it done 2 weeks ago. I love it! I cut my hair too, but you can't really see in these pictures, it's much nicer now. 

Essence - Glisten Up

I really like Essence, for such a cheap brand they have some really good quality products. Their Nail Polish selection is great, loads of colours and most of them are only €1.29. 

My most recent purchase from them was their Colour & Go Polish in 'Glisten Up'. It's a sky blue colour with silver glitter and flakes of turquoise glitter. In the bottle it looks beautiful, but unfortunately on the nails it comes out super sheer. The pictures here are of me wearing around 5 coats of it, and it's still quite sheer. 

Because I had to apply so many layers this took ages to dry. It has worn very well though, I've had it on for three days now, with no tip coat and there's no chips. It looks like there is tip wear in the photos but there isn't, it's just very sheer at the tips. 

I reckon this would work really well over a more opaque polish, maybe a dark blue or silver, so that's what I'll be trying next with it. Also I'd love to try it under Crackle polish but I can't, as my Barry M one has totally dried up. Has that happened to anyone else? It's happened to a friend of mine too, and I don't know if we just got a dodgy batch or it it happens frequently. 

I bought this polish in Penneys for €1.29. It's also available in Dunnes and many Pharmacies. 

Has anyone else tried this polish? What are your thoughts?
